Amen, amen, amen. One of the biggest lessons...Amen! Amen, amen, amen. One of the biggest lessons I've learned from Gabriel so far is that we see the world with human eyes, when we need to ask the Lord to help us to see it with His eyes. To us, good is good, and bad is bad. To God, though, those things which we deem "bad" often bring about the greatest growth in us and force us closer to God. While those "good" things that we too often seek can draw us into a life of self-sufficiency and ease, where we never really feel a need to fully rely on the Lord.

When my son was little, well-meaning folks would tell us that Gabe was so blessed to be born into a family that could love and care for him so well. I, however, was feeling inadequate and resentful that I had been "chosen". God spoke to me in a near-audible voice and pointed out that not only did Gabe need me, but *I* needed a Gabriel in my life. It was a profound moment that has forever changed my perspective.

God *is* good, all the time! May we always remember that.

Joni (from the BBC boards)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9219575533193649231.post-80563645336137984062009-04-28T19:52:00.000-04:002009-04-28T19:52:00.000-04:00What a wonderful testimony!
