Samara has them occasionally. We use an Angelcare monitor for her at night on her crib, and when we are out and about (in the stroller, carseat etc) we use a Respisense. These are available through www.respisense.com They are from South Africa. It is a small unit that attaches to the baby's diaper, and is totally portable. It is reasonably priced too. Not sure in US$ but we paid $150AU (which is about $90 US I think).
I know how scary this can be. Sara, who is now 17 had apnoea's for 10 years. We never really got to the bottom of why, but things that made it worse were infections, getting too hot, and immunisations. We no longer immunise our kids!Kiwiaussiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15322028429326751329noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9219575533193649231.post-13331963678348312852009-05-15T19:44:00.000-04:002009-05-15T19:44:00.000-04:00Simeon means to be heard... and we will ask God to...Simeon means to be heard... and we will ask God to hear him in his sleep and rouse him as needed.

I do not know if this is something you are interested in but the Graco Angelcare Deluxe Movement Monitor really works. If a baby stops breathing in the crib, after 20 seconds this monitor will go off nice and loud.

May God bless you with a peaceful spirit.TUChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15929114678006935831noreply@blogger.com
